Who’s heard of the Scandinavian hairline trend?? It’s been popping up all over my insta feed so my amazing colorist Erin and I had to try it. She foiled and painted my hair like usual, then when we were at the shampoo bowl she painted a tiny strip of hair by my face for brightness. I’ll be honest, I was unsure how this was going to turn out, but I love how blended it looks! All of my fellow blondes need to give this a try 💁🏼‍♀️

Weekend baking has been my jam lately and I’ve been loving featuring seasonal produce we get from the farmers market ☀️I’ve had my eye on this @nytcooking Plum Torte recipe and it delivered- only 6 ingredients and 4 steps, it couldn’t be easier! It would be perfect with any fruit you want to try and ad lib spices accordingly. I can’t wait to do a cardamom pear version for fall 🍐 Save this for a dessert perfect for easy entertaining!

You all know how much I love the DC French restaurants, so when I heard about @josephineoldtown opening up, I knew I’d have to give them a try 🇫🇷 We went for a girls brunch yesterday and I was SO impressed with this stunning French brasserie. From the way they split all of the food we ordered onto our own plates, to the ridiculously good Niçoise salad with the most perfectly cooked vegetables, to the stunning atrium, I was already texting Rishil that I can’t wait to take him next time 😍 if you love French food like we do, please give them a try! Must order:
-Espresso martini
-Eggs Benedict
-Niçoise salad
-Opera cake or strawberry rhubarb tart

Nothing compares to feeling like a regular when you’re in a foreign country, and Javier at @quioscmodern makes us feel that way all the way in Barcelona. We went to the tapas restaurant inside of the Boqueria Market for the first time last year and we’re blown away by the friendly service, delicious food (get the razor clams!) and incredible energy. 💃🏼

There’s a crowd of people waiting to claim a bar seat and pick out the seafood they’re going to enjoy freshly grilled with a bright squeeze of lemon and an ice cold beer🍺 Make eye contact with Javier, have him put you on the list, and get ready for a fun lunch in the middle of the bustling market. One of the highlights of our trip to France was our charming hotel in Beaune. Surrounded by vineyards, rolling hills, and cobblestone streets, Hôtel Olivier Leflaive looked like something out of a postcard. Aside from the incredible service, the food at their Michelin starred restaurant Klima was exceptional, and most importantly their air conditioning was strong 😏 highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in French wine country! #beaune #france

We had such a good time in Paris the past couple of days- 3 days wasn’t enough! We did a @fattiretours bike tour to see the famous landmarks, shopped at the beautiful Rue St.Honoré (loved @memo.paris and @meilleur_moment_paris), ate at quintessential bistros, did an unforgettable food and culture tour with @frenchxican_a, and had more wine than I thought possible 🍷 will save all our recs to a story highlight! #paris

The most perfect first meal in Paris that I could ever ask for came from @brasserievaudeville 🍷Their seafood tower was so fresh, the wine was exceptional, the desserts were fantastic (please get the crepes Suzette), and the service was both attentive and fun.

On this weeks theme of favorite restaurants in DC, we have @lutecedc, a neo-French bistro in Georgetown that does both brunch and dinner exceptionally well 🍳 You heard me rave about their chefs table last month, and our brunch yesterday was just as good-great food, cocktails, and exceptional service.

You have to get the steak tartare, pommes paillasson (pricey but worth it), mezcal smoked salmon, and pain perdu. They also have the best espresso martini I’ve ever had ☕️

Go, pretend you’re in Europe for a few hours, then walk off the carbs and look at the incredible houses nearby. This is our itinerary whenever we have people in town and it has never disappointed! #dcrestaurants #lutece #frenchrestaurant
