How to Find a Vintage Rug

Vintage rugs are all the rage right now, and for good reason! They’re insanely durable and give a room character, but can set you back a few thousand dollars depending on where you look.

I wanted to dip my toe into the trend and found a few options that are reasonably priced and great quality, and can’t wait to share them with you all!

1.Etsy: First up is a place I always go to for anything home related- Etsy! I love supporting individuals instead of big companies and there are so many great stores that sell authentic vintage rugs.

I was initially looking for a vintage bath mat to warm up our black and white bathroom so I bought this one from Turkish Rug Wholesale :

It didn’t fit in our bathroom, so it’s now in our stairway and I love the character it brings! To better show you all the rug, I put it in our kitchen as a runner, which of course now makes me think we need one there as well (sorry Rishil).

This shop is located in Turkey but had crazy fast shipping and I loved that I was getting an authentic wool rug.

Here are a few others from their shop that I love:

Light pink area rug

Faded area rug

Hallway runner

2. Wayfair: If the Etsy ones are a still out of budget, I have this one from Wayfair that’s essentially a printed rug. It’s super thin but in our guest room is perfect.

3. West Elm: If you want convenience and the ability to see rugs in store, West Elm has some beautiful options. We were looking at the Cordoba rug when designing our home, and I love the Zahari as well.

We have two rugs from West Elm and are happy with the quality for the price. One thing to note is they always have sales, so I would wait until Labor day to purchase if you’ve found one that you love!

There you have it, my favorite sources for a vintage rug! Do you have any favorite places where you find them?
